Odds are high that you’ve heard about the “Heartbleed bug”. It is vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL cryptographic software code, which compromised the security of private information across the internet (such as users’ names and passwords). The Heartbleed bug affected many large websites you likely use including Google, Gmail and Facebook. You can learn more about the issue on the Heartbleed website.
We want to let you know that International Merchant Services, Inc. remains secure. Once the Heartbleed vulnerability became known, our IT team initiated a methodical investigation of our systems and verified that IMS does not utilize OpenSSL for encryption. Your information, the Customer Care Center, and the ATM24.com website are uncompromised. We will continue to monitor this and all threats in the future.
